The CEGA Student Travel Assistance Program (STAP) is designed to support students in attending and participating in CEGA geoscience conferences. The program aims to facilitate student presenters’ exposure to professional development, networking opportunities, and knowledge exchange by providing financial assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
• Have an active CEGA Student membership- It’s free!- click here to apply
• Have a primary residence and/or be attending University outside of the city the event is being held in.
• Have confirmed acceptance to present a paper or poster at a CEGA run conference.
Funding Allocation
Final funding amount is subject to the total number of applicants and travel requirements, the maximum amount that a successful applicant could receive is $750CAD.
Eligible expenses include:
Travel costs (airfare, bus far, car rental, cab far, gas etc.), hotel accommodations (room costs only).
